I truly cannot say enough about the exceptional service that I received at Sunny Dry Cleaners!! I wore a pair of winter white trousers to Senior Night for my daughter's high school after it had rained and got rust color from the track, then black from dirt and sand mixed with puddles of water...then I sat on a towel and it transferred bright red and blue all over the entire back of the pants!!! I thought these were trashed for sure and it seems it's nearly impossible to find lined trousers that fit this perfectly again, so my heart kind of broke a little. I drove all the way to this dry cleaners, praying that their expertise in wedding gown cleaning might yield some kind of miracle for me (though I thought it would surely be an expensive one). Let me tell you guys- they got out absolutely every bit of every stain and my trousers look flawless... AND they charged me a regular dry cleaning fee!!!! They are beyond amazing and I am so incredibly grateful that I found them!!!

A little stain-care knowledge from behind the counter:

Using at-home stain removers can sometimes make our spotting process — and the products we use — less effective.

If something spills, keep the first aid simple.

Blot. Don’t rub.

For something like red w**e, a little cool water can help dilute the spill.

And skip the heat. Heat can set stains, and sugary spills can turn into stubborn brown discoloration over time.

Then bring it to us as-is and tell us what happened.

That’s where experience comes in.

Hi, we're Rachel and Todd, and we're the faces behind Sunny Cleaners.

We moved to the Murrells Inlet area a few years ago after leaving our corporate jobs in Raleigh to build something of our own. We actually started as a Sunny's customer. We got to know the business, loved the craft of textile care, and when the previous owner's health pushed him toward retirement, we bought it. That was May of 2024.

Since then, we've been reimagining what a dry cleaner should be for how people actually live now. We've spent the past two years making the whole experience effortless, and a big piece of that is pickup and delivery. Your groceries show up at your door. Your prescriptions do too. We think your dry cleaning and laundry should work the same way. No trips, nothing to remember.

And we're hands-on owners. You might catch Rachel behind the counter, Todd running deliveries, or both of us at the plant helping the team get orders out.

When we're not working, we're usually on the Marshwalk, on the golf course or tennis court, or walking our two dogs at Huntington Beach. This area is home for us, and the people we serve are our neighbors.

It happens to the best of us. Here is what to do the moment w**e hits fabric.

Dab — do not rub. Blot the excess liquid immediately with a clean cloth. Rubbing spreads the stain and pushes it deeper into the fibers.

Use cold water only. A small amount of cold water can help dilute the stain. Do not use hot water, and do not reach for chemicals or stain sprays.

Keep heat away from it entirely. Heat causes the natural sugars in w**e to caramelize into the fabric, leaving permanent brown staining that no cleaner can reverse.

Then bring it to us. The sooner the better — the longer w**e sits, the harder it becomes to remove completely. We handle w**e stains on linen, cotton, silk, and delicate fabrics every day.
