As usual, I have been caught up costuming a film, and I haven’t had the time to process all of the love and support around my brand’s soft launch. The ones close to me have seen me working on this release for almost 2 years now, but for the most part, it’s been a silent labor of love. This blouse in particular has progressed through 4 rounds of sampling, each round refining details of the previous. It turned out exactly as I dreamed. I have to thank for her patience as we worked together to achieve a garment identical to my vision, of the highest quality possible, and as ethically and sustainably as possible. I have no desire to contribute to the waste and exploitation of the fashion industry. I have every intention of using my gifts and my passions to leave - even if minuscule - a net positive impact on the garment industry. People who wear clothes deserve better. People who make the clothes deserve better. And the Earth who gives the raw materials deserves better. For us, it’s the noblest way, or no way at all.
