Planning Commission staff recommendation about the data centers will be published on Monday, June 22, 2026 for their meeting on Thursday, June 25,2026. The zoo would like you to attend with your children again and let them know what you think about a date center next to the zoo property

JUNETEENTH WEEK PICKUP SCHEDULE REMINDER:

All residents whose trash and recycling pickup day would be Friday, June 19th, will instead be serviced on Monday, June 15th.
Please have your carts out by 6 a.m., June 15th, for service.

Our shift to a four-day collection schedule means fewer overall schedule disruptions for residents and no change at all for many households during holiday weeks.

The zoo would greatly appreciate if you and your friends & children could attend the Metro Council Public Hearing giving your support for bill BL2026-1491 on July 7th at 6:00pm at 1 Public Square which is the Metro Courthouse. And if you could sign their petition

Attention neighbors! Today (Thursday, 10/23) is the deadline to submit public comments or questions concerning Southeast Choice Lanes. Choice Lanes is the proposed expansion of I-24, creating two additional toll lanes on I-24 (four total), between Nashville and Murfreesboro.

You can comment either by attending their virtual public meeting (link below, registration required, 1000 character limit) or by emailing [email protected]

TDOT has promised more public engagement in the future but if you have questions or concerns about how the expansion of I-24 would impact your home or neighborhood, it is very important to get these initial comments in by midnight tonight.

Thank you to Dozen Bakery for hosting our meeting with TDOT last night - we filmed the meeting and will be sharing that in the coming days, but do not wait if you have a comment for TDOT.
