RIP Bob Gatzen.
His videos inspired me to find True Tone when tuning drums and combining hardwares to existing drums to let them do their thing.
I spoke with back in Anaheim, CA at NAMM 2003 about his videos and how useful they were. We also talked about the and he mentioned KAMAN was looking at ways to develop a reasonably-priced version for market. Nothing ever happened…at least NOT YET! 😉
I’d heard years ago he was ill but never knew what from. He and Dom Famularo are two drumming angels that will be very missed!
