Waxed canvas has taken over the studio this entire month! It’s by far our most popular fabric this spring, and right on time with all the rain we’ve been getting in Nashville lately.

We’re also starting to gather up some new releases this month. Selvedge canvas wide leg pants drop (in stock!), a stonewashed Wayman preorder, sashiko chore coats and Wayman jackets, Japanese slub canvas work trousers are making their return, and cotton/tencel selvedge ecru wide leg jeans and more.

This is the Amos Chore Coat in 10.10oz Waxed canvas. I’m 5’11” 210 lbs wearing an 2XL, although my go-to is an XL.

It’s official: we’re now accepting the last 10 leather jacket orders of the year.

5 Amos Chore Coats in Pinnacle Horsehide
5 Wayman Jackets in Black tumbled Chromexcel Horsehide

We will close the order window June 30th no matter what, even if we have spots remaining. Lead time is around 10 weeks from date of order.

What lead to this decision:

Back in the fall, I admittedly took on more leather bags and jackets than I could handle by myself, yet no one else on my team was trained to make them, and it took me forever to get through them all. Safe to say my customers were very gracious and patient, but I ended up working 12 hours a day for 3 months straight and I don’t want to do that again, so I’m making the decision to only sell pieces my entire team is versed in making for the second half of the year. I have gotten to the point where it is more important for me to get out of the way of my team and spend my time making their days as easy and free of problems as I can by assisting and prepping their work, rather than doing something only I can do (plus we only have enough leather machines for one person anyways)

So, just like we cut leather backpack and duffle availability in January with notice, we’re doing the same with our leather jackets. We will open orders back up in January 2027.

With our lead times, summer is the perfect time to get your order in, so you can have a fresh fit leather jacket ready to wear by the time the fall weather hits.

Introducing the Holden Wide Leg Jean.

This is my personal current favorite fit, and one we’ll be exploring in more fabrics throughout the summer. This first release is made from my current favorite denim: a 15oz selvedge denim from Collect Mills in Japan. The fabric is a rich, vibrant indigo with a slightly slubby texture, and it’s already fading fast. These photos were taken at around two weeks of wear, and I’m now over 30 days in with this pair as my daily go-to.

The Holden is built off our mid-high rise Stratton pattern, but with more room throughout the leg and a wider leg opening for an easier, more breathable fit. As the weather starts warming up here in Nashville, I’ve been reaching more and more for wider fits for the airflow, comfort, and movement they offer in the heat. This one checks every box.

The denim has already softened up beautifully while still feeling substantial and rugged, and the wider cut gives the fabric room to drape and move the way great denim should.
More fabrics and variations to come throughout the summer.

There’s nothing like wearing in a good piece made from raw denim. I know a lot of folks know all about it, but plenty don’t, so here’s a little info on why we love it so much, and why breaking in a raw —or rigid— jacket or pair of jeans is a great choice.

When we first started working with denim, we fell in love with it for the same reason we love good vegetable tanned leather: the patina. In the denim world, we call them fades instead, but the idea is the same. Over time, the piece becomes completely unique to you and your lifestyle.

How hard you wear it, how often you wash it, whether you spend your days in an office, a workshop, or somewhere in between, the fabric slowly tells your story.

Raw denim, also known as rigid denim, is denim in its purest form and at its most durable. There’s a reason it became the original workwear fabric. It’s built to take abuse, hold up for years, and look even better the longer you own it, softening and developing rich tones and fades as the fabric molds to you and how you wear it. From miners and cowboys to modern denim heads and enjoyers of well made goods, raw denim has remained a classic because it simply works.

Our Amos Chore Coat in 15oz Japanese Rigid Denim is built on that same philosophy: create the longest-lasting, most durable jacket we can, while still making something refined enough to wear anywhere. It’s rugged and structured at first, but softens and molds to you over time, becoming more personal with every wear.

This is the exact same fabric we use for our stonewashed version, so we can already see how incredible the fades and color become with age. However, with Raw Denim, you get the chance to earn that character yourself, marking time by fade lines and wear.

Every crease, fade, and mark becomes completely your own.
