I only own two denim shirts — and despite looking similar on a hanger, they fill two very different spots in my closet.

Comment SHOP and I’ll DM the links to you!

One is a soft, medium-wash denim shirt with a relaxed, slightly oversized fit.
The other is a darker-wash denim shirt with a straighter, more polished silhouette.

These four outfits are a good example of why I reach for both: with white jeans and a blazer, dressed up with tailored trousers, worn casually with pull-on pants, or paired with linen trousers for the transition between seasons.

And yes, two of these outfits may look familiar. I actually wore them this week. That’s the point of the pieces I share here — I want you to see what gets worn again, not just what photographs well once.

Save this for the next time you’re wondering what to wear with a denim shirt, and send it to a friend who lives in button-downs.

Which would fit your closet better: relaxed medium wash or polished dark wash?
Both shirts and all four outfits are linked in my shop.

This one has become one of those pieces in my closet that makes getting dressed easier. I can wear it on its own, leave it open as a layer or — like today — put it under a black blazer with white jeans for an easy transitional outfit.

And that’s exactly what I want from the pieces I recommend here: not something that works for one outfit, but something I can keep reaching for and styling differently.

This week we’re talking all things denim shirts — fit, washes, styling and how to find the right one for your closet.

Save this outfit for later, and tell me: are you wearing denim shirts right now or are they strictly a fall piece for you?

I’m sharing the fit, sizing and full outfit details in Stories today, including the denim shirt I’m wearing here.

I try on a lot of clothes. Some I love. Some go right back. And some become the pieces I reach for again and again.

So instead of showing you more new clothes, here are the 5 outfits I actually wore this week.

And there’s something interesting about this week’s lineup: the same pieces keep showing up.

The black wide-leg pants I’ve been talking about all week made it into two of these outfits. My white leather sneakers showed up three times. The navy linen shirt dress is still earning its place in my closet. And several of these tees, layers and pants are pieces you’ve seen me wear before.

That’s becoming one of the things I want to show you more of here — not just what I’m trying on, but what actually survives the try-on and gets worn in real life.
Because that’s a much better recommendation.

Which outfit would YOU actually wear: 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5?

Save this roundup when you need an easy outfit idea, and send it to a friend whose closet looks a little like yours.

I’m sharing more outfit details, fit notes and the pieces I’d recommend first in Stories.

Fall wedding on the calendar? Paid partnership with Macy's

I tried three very different wedding guest dresses — and I want to know which one you would actually wear.
1: A black satin tuxedo-style maxi that feels classic, polished and a little unexpected.
2: An olive satin full-length shirtdress with a faux-wrap silhouette — elegant without feeling overly formal.
3: An olive organza overlay ball gown for the invitation that calls for something a little more dramatic.

Comment DRESS and I’ll send you the links!

I love that these give you three completely different ways to approach fall wedding guest dressing, from sleek black satin to rich olive and a more formal full-skirted silhouette.

Which gets your vote — 1, 2 or 3? Tell me below, then SAVE this for the next fall wedding invitation that lands in your mailbox. And send it to the friend who’s already asking, “What am I going to wear?”

I linked all three dresses in my Fall Wedding Guest Dresses collection so you can see the full details and shop them there.

I think black pants are one of those pieces almost every woman needs in her closet.
Which makes this slightly surprising: I own exactly ONE pair.

Want the link sent to you? Comment SHOP and I’ll send it to your DM.

These are the Versa Crepe Drape Palazzo Pants, and in today’s Weekly Closet Chat I’m sharing why these are the black pants that earned a permanent place in my closet — including how they fit, what I love about the drape and wide-leg silhouette, and why I haven’t felt the need to keep searching for another pair.

For me, a wardrobe staple has to do more than look good on the hanger. I want something I can actually wear repeatedly, style multiple ways and reach for without having to think too hard about it. That’s what these black palazzo pants have become for me.

This is also exactly why I’ve been wearing the same pair throughout this week. Instead of constantly showing you something new, I want to show you more of what I actually own, love and wear — and WHY.

Save this if black pants are on your wardrobe list, share it with someone who is looking for a great pair, and tell me below:
How many pairs of black pants are in YOUR closet?

I own exactly one pair of black pants.

Not because I don’t think they’re important — actually, the opposite. Black trousers are such a wardrobe staple that I’d rather have one pair I genuinely want to wear than several pairs taking up space in my closet.

If you’re actually considering these black pants, comment PANTS and I’ll send the exact pair + my sizing.

For Outfit 004, I paired my black wide-leg trousers with another piece I reach for constantly: a classic denim shirt. Then I kept the accessories all in the same brown family — belt, woven Mary Janes and handbag. Matching my accessories is one of those simple styling choices that makes an outfit feel pulled together without making it feel overly styled.

This is also exactly what I mean when I talk about wardrobe workhorses: pieces that don’t just make one good outfit. They make getting dressed easier.

I’m wearing these same black trousers several different ways this week so you can see whether one great pair really can do the work of several.

Save this black trouser + denim shirt outfit for later, and tell me: are you a one-great-pair person, or do you own several pairs of black pants?

Full outfit details, fit notes and sizing are in Stories.

Five outfits I actually wore this week — and apparently I had a favorite.

Those medium-wash straight-leg jeans showed up twice here, but you’ve actually seen them several times this week. That’s intentional. When something works in my closet, I want to show you how I really wear it rather than style it once and move on.

Want the links sent to you? Comment SHOP and I’ll DM them!

They’re the pair I’d recommend first if you’re looking for an easy straight-leg jean that works with everything from a simple white tee and loafers to a cashmere cardigan or blazer.

The rest of this week’s outfits covered a little bit of everything: a polished matching set with sneakers, pink and olive for a change from my usual neutrals, and white jeans with navy that I’ll keep wearing straight into early fall.

Which outfit would you wear: 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5?

Save this one when you need everyday outfit ideas, and send it to a friend whose closet looks a lot like ours.

And if the straight-leg jeans caught your attention, come to Stories before you shop. I’m showing the fit, sizing and exactly why they’re the pair I’d choose first.

Closet Chat: Episode 6

I own more jeans than I probably need, but these are the 8 pairs that consistently earn their place in my closet.

Want the links sent to you? Comment SHOP and I’ll DM them!

For fall, I don’t think it’s about chasing one denim silhouette. I want different pairs for different outfits: a classic straight leg, polished wide legs, barrel jeans when I want a more modern shape, and black, brown, ecru and white denim when blue isn’t quite right.

In today’s Weekly Closet Chat, I’m showing you the jeans I actually own, love and wear on repeat:
Black wide leg
Medium wash wide leg
Medium wash barrel
Ecru barrel
White slim wide leg
Brown wide leg
Light wash straight leg
Dark wash wide leg

If you’re updating your jeans for fall, SAVE this as a denim reference and send it to someone who’s trying to figure out which styles are worth adding to her closet.
