We took a day trip out to Nelson’s landing today. Now this one is definitely doable with little to no planning. Just bring water! It’s an hour drive from the NW side of town.

We spent an hour out there wandering the grounds. We even met the Owners who have lived there for 34 years.
It’s a magical desert oasis, complete with custom buses, old structures, several of which are still in use, AND you can take a mining tour as well. We didn’t do that this time, but maybe next time!
