Attention to the smallest details is a hallmark of quality, and key to immersion in creative story-telling. The costume lead for Annie Jr asked us to bring these uniforms to life for the trash man and dog catcher. So fun to bring the little touches and help tell the story!

The performers were charming and sassy and the show was full of hope! Keep looking to the future and loving on people! Well done, Coll Street Players!

Coll Street Players produced Annie Jr The Musical and paid attention to all the details, giving every costume due care. The Costume Lead pulled the Warbucks house staff together by coordinating colors and embellishments. Drake is the butler with several comedic moments, and the leader of the staff. Denise Kopecki (Costume Lead) wanted Drake to coordinate with the female workers, so we created a lined vest with green striped fabric that coordinates with the green maid dresses.

In Annie Jr, Mr. Warbucks employees a sizeable staff to keep his affairs in order. The costume lead asked if we would bring the extra zhuzh to their uniforms a la Warbucks Mansion. Instead of the stereotypical black base dress, the designer preferred green and gold, to reflect Mr. Warbucks' excessive wealth. Working with garments from Amazon, we customized our way into upscale staff attire.

Annie Jr The Musical is set in the 1930s, and must have authenticity! Actual condenser microphones in this style run between $60-$800 - not exactly in the budget of community theater. So - 3d printing to the rescue! The prop master contacted us, requesting two 1930s era condenser microphones that would affix to a modern microphone stand.

"The sun'll come out, tomorrow!" ~ Little Orphan Annie

Our local community theatre is producing Annie Jr and we had the joy of making custom shirts to thank and encourage the Creative Team. We used a multi-layer approach, with DTF (direct-to-film) HTV (heat-transfer-vinyl) as the base layer and red glitter HTV as the top layer.

Also - friend - if you're in a place of uncertainty or trial, keep walking through it! While today feels heavy, we cannot see what good things lie ahead! As Little Orphan Annie reminds us:

When I'm stuck in a day
That's gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin
And grin and say
The sun'll come out, tomorrow

Performers on stage often use a confidence monitor - a screen that projects lyrics, words for a speech, or images. Unfortunately, the back of a confident monitor does not necessarily blend seamlessly with the decor of the set. Our client owns a production company - JJC Productions - provides sound, lighting, video and livestream services for conferences, concerts, and various live productions, and commissioned two skirts to camouflage the cables and frame.
