Over the next two weeks, an estimated 10,000 products will arrive at our warehouse. Every single item gets unboxed, received, tagged, and made floor ready. Then it all heads out in our color-coded bins to our stores, where our amazing team merchandises everything on the floor for you. 🙌

I swore I’d never do this... 🎃➡️🎄

Every year I’ve had one rule: no holiday merchandise until after Halloween. But here’s the honest truth. Shoppers are buying earlier and earlier every year, and if the product isn’t on the floor, we simply can’t compete. And frankly, YOU have been asking for it! 🙌

So I’m breaking my own rule and putting out some holiday early. Not the whole collection (that’s still on its way 👀), but enough to give you a head start on gifts, stocking stuffers, and festive favorites before the rush.

Don’t worry, Halloween isn’t going anywhere just yet. 🎃 But if you’re a plan-ahead shopper, this one’s for you!

Me pretending I’m here to merchandise… but really I’m shopping. 🙈🛍️

Owning a boutique is dangerous when the new fall arrivals look this good. I came into the store to refresh our displays and somehow ended up with an armful of cozy sweaters for myself. Soft knits, chunky cardigans, and the perfect layering pieces for Connecticut fall weather. I can’t be the only one who wants to live in these all season!

Ugly truth: owning a boutique is basically legal gambling. And I’m betting my own money. 🎰

Every season, I write checks for thousands of dollars of inventory months before it arrives. No refunds. No do-overs. I’m guessing what you’ll want before the weather, the trends, or the economy decide for me.

When I win, it sells out and I look like a genius. When I lose, that money sits on a rack until it goes on sale, sometimes for less than I paid.

After 15 years as the buyer for all seven of our categories, I still feel that rush (and that fear) every single season.

So when you shop small, you’re not just buying something you love. You’re helping a small business win the bet. 🤍

Wow, you guys really love this sweater 🤍

I shared it on stories today, but here’s the backstory: we made this seven years ago, and every fall I pull it right back out of my closet. It’s 100% cotton, it’s been washed about 100 times, and it still looks as good as new. That’s the kind of quality we stand behind.

I asked if you wanted me to bring it back, and the answer was a loud YES. So guess what? We’ve already been in touch with our factory, and this cozy knit is officially going into production 🙌

And in peak season (which is coming soon!), it’s five days a week. Honestly, it still amazes me how much product moves in and out of our 3 Fairfield county, ct ( Westport, new canaan, and Ridgefield) locations.
