I wasn’t expecting much from this toy because my dog has a talent for turning “durable” toys into trash in record time. 😂
But this little hammer seriously surprised me.
The first thing he noticed was the tennis ball trapped inside. He could see it, hear it moving, but couldn’t actually get it out… and that was enough to make him completely obsessed.
He started biting the hammer, shaking it, throwing it across the floor, chasing it when it bounced away, then sitting there trying to figure out how to get to the ball inside. 😂
Normally he loses interest in toys after a few minutes.
This one actually keeps him BUSY.
I think it’s the combination of the squeak, the moving ball and the weird hammer shape. Every time he knocks it around, it moves differently, so he immediately goes after it again.
And considering how aggressively he plays, I’m genuinely impressed with how well it has held up. He’s chewed the handle, slammed it into furniture and dragged it around the house like he’s carrying Thor’s hammer. 🔨😭
Still going strong.
The best part?
After a good play session, he’s actually TIRED.
Not “rest for two minutes and start destroying my house again” tired.
Actually lying-on-the-floor-ready-for-a-nap tired. 😂
If you have a high-energy dog who loves chewing, squeaky toys and tennis balls, I can definitely see why this toy works so well.
At this point, whenever he starts getting restless, I just hand him his hammer and let him go to work.
My dog gets entertainment.
I get peace.
And my furniture gets to survive another day. 😂🐶🔨❤️
