Do you have a good shorts pattern? Any pant pattern can become a shorts pattern with two easy steps for :
1️⃣ Figure out how long you want the shorts. Mark the shorts inseam, plus the hem allowance, minus the crotch seam allowance
2️⃣ Add the hem symmetries in the hem allowance so the shorts hem will fold up nicely.
That was pretty easy right?

Another Me Made May is in the books! What did you all learn from the experience, if you participated?

For me - maybe because May was unseasonably cold in New England - I realized that the Style Falcon collection really needs an easy knit topper and sweater for layering on cold days. I reached time and again for older makes from Kwik Sew, Jalie and Stye Arc. I also reached often for my Gorgeous Godet Tops with the cowl neck and long sleeves.

Off to the sketch pad to think it through for Fall 2027!

Last day of - let's go! I'm in my poppy matelisse Positive Space Jacket to pose with the actual poppies that made it through some rough weather in New England this spring.

Paired with the Diamond Hem Trousers in black stretch denim for a chic yet comfy look. Headed out to brunch!
