I redecorated my sewing room this summer!

First I had to frame the issue of Threads Magazine that featured a review of the Style Falcon Secret Jeans Trousers pattern. This review really put Style Falcon on the map and helped make the Secret Jeans Trousers my best-selling pattern!

Then I hung this collage by a local artist, Sandra Kensler. It's inspired by a dress shop window display in New York and is made of recycled paper from a calendar, safety envelopes and other sources. Very fashionable, right?

Usually, ironing with the grain is the way to smooth wrinkles.

But what if there's a deep crease or stubborn wrinkle?

Try ironing on the cross-grain and watch the creases disappear!

finds me with newly hemmed curtains.

These were store-bought lined curtains that I had hemmed with a generous hem allowance, anticipating some shrinking when dry cleaned.

Yep! They definitely shrank when cleaned! So I released the hem, pressed out the old hem crease, patched a couple small holes and made a new hem.

Not bad for an hour's work!
