"My hiking group hikes together 3 days a week and most of our hikers use TurtleSkin Gaiters. My son got me a pair for Mother's Day about 4 years ago and they're looking pretty rough. BUT - they're still doing their job.

I was hiking alone not long ago - just enjoying the scenery when I heard a rattlesnake. And boy - he was loud! I got too close to the rattlesnake as I didn't see him. But he saw me. He had warned me - but I didn't back away - so he struck my lower leg, getting my Turtleskins Snake gaiter. I felt it and it scared me half to death.

But - I really hadn't planned to put the gaiters to a test. But now that I have, I'm happy to know they work! There wasn't even a mark on my leg and all I had under the gaiter was a pair of hiking pants.
