There is a lot and please keep checking back for more additions! There are still lots of amazing items. The literal bones of my shop right down to my check out counter and cash register.
It’s basically an open-a- shop-starter- kit! haha

The counter was actually originally from our very own Taylor’s Hardware ( fun fact the lumber from Taylor’s built my 1887 house), then purchased by our dearly departed Mitchell B who then passed it on to me... it’s got good vudu and vibes people!
Oh and the cash register was the register from The Jolly Roger Gun Shop!

There will be Art, Paintings, Kitchen, Pyrex, Beautiful Rugs, Amazing Rare Antique Games from the 1920’s, Christmas, Books, A 1950’s Coca Cola Advertising Thermometer, Garden Planters and Statuary an amazing Brooks Brothers Male Mannequin and soooo much more!! Deep Thoughts with Deja Vudu 🤣
This morning I spent my coffee time untangling the silk fringe of a beautiful thing that had become a woeful mess. As a child I was always good at untangling and enjoyed it.
My mother would give me her necklaces saying “Susan you can do this I have no patience for it”. The thing was it wasn’t mine so I had no anger at it for being tangled.
As I worked on the fringe this morning I realized that if you let go of the frustration at it being tangled in the first place and lean into the process it’s so much smoother.
And it actually WANTS to be untangled too.

I’m trying to remember that with life in general. Not to spend any energy being mad that things get messy, no matter the reason or how tedious it all is. Just to lean into the untangling and remember that it all goes smoother when you do. Take all of the emotion out of it and just let your fingers shake out the tangles. And when the job is done it will be oh so satisfying.

Oh my GOODNESS!
Thank you so much to everyone that bid, won or just participated in the Moving On Auction! It was a huge success!!
Justin has been running these for awhile now and my auction had his highest reaching results to date!
Which either shows that I did indeed have nice things and good taste or, that you all just love me a lot. 🤣
I’d like to think that it’s a little of each.

Thank you to everyone that visited today during pick up, thank you to my family who even took the ride here and supported me greatly. Thank you toJustin for making the auction spectacular and for all of your crazy hard work getting it all done!!

Oh that though ...we actually didn’t quite get it alllll done sooo we will be spilling over to a part two to finish the job! Stay tuned for details!!

This sale is to that we can MOVE ON and every bid helps our family recover from all the weirdness of the last couple of years... pandemics, the tragic loss of my brother, a crazy stalker and a home fire, then all of the aftermath that we are still digging out of.

A couple of years ago Janet from Planet Photo offered to do a Mother’s Day photo shoot for me. Since we aren’t the most traditional family Reels and I decide Mother’s Day pics don’t have to be sweet or cutsie. Instead we went with a Joan Jett inspired deal.

JJ has been a pretty much been fixture in my world .. I grew up on Joan Jett along with punk rock, later even meeting my friend Phast Phreddie and finding out that The Runaways played their very first show in his living room! Also Reels first concert happened to be Joan Jett too!

Jett is iconic and I don’t say that word lightly. She has always played music on her own terms and as a female never let anyone tell her who she had to be. I can’t think of very many women that had the power to be able to do that back then or ...even now.

These pics were taken shortly after my brother Chris took his own life... we were still spinning from that and Reels had inherited his guitar. She was just starting to fool around with it. Now two years later at 15 I can’t even say how cool it is to walk up the stairs, hear her in her room playing Pipeline or The Bad Brains and knowing that she’s not going to be held back one God Damned bit by anyone or anything thing by being a female. I am so psyched that Joan Jett was an early influence. When I saw this contest about I posted immediately. Being in my 50’s there will be a lot more JJ looking hotties than me but that’s ok, we’ve got the (black)hearts.
