With so much death and destruction of people, innocent children suffer the most. With the continued environmental degradation of our planet, we must question patriarchal government leaders and their choices. For the meek, the innocent and our planet suffers from their thirst for power, greed and war mongering ideology. Hate and war are a business that we do not support.

Join us in celebrating the 37th Annual Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts' Day of the Dead Exhibition during the upcoming VIP Day of the Dead Fundraiser on Saturday, October 28th from 5:30 p.m.
to - 9:00 p.m.
Be the first to preview this time-honored cultural tradition that honors our ancestors!
The evening will start at 5:30 with appetizers, mezcal, and tequila tasting in the lobby. Guests will be invited into the historic theater to enjoy the "
Living Ofrendas" fashion show, followed by the celebration in the gallery. Guests will enjoy dinner, drinks, and dancing to live music.
The exhibit features Mesoamerican, colonial, and post-colonial altars. Local artists will exhibit contemporary art installations and artwork reflecting this year's theme, "Árbol de Vida: Races y Memori/Tree of Life: Roots & Memory."

June 12 is World Day Against Child Labour

Did you know there are 160 million children working around the world? They work in fashion, agriculture, domestic service, chocolate, landfill waste and other industries mostly located in the global south.

The International Labour Organziation (ILO) launched the World Day Against Child Labor in 2002. They focus attention on the prevalence of child labor throughout the world and the action and efforts essential to eliminating it.

Happy World Oceans Day!!!

My zero waste art is a tribute to for the love and respect I have for our oceans.

Made from a shirt that was going into trash. It’s content is 100% polyester (microplastics). Fashion is a contributor to the destruction of our oceans. 🌊35% of microplastics in the ocean come from clothing. The additional chemicals and toxins that they are made from also go into our oceans.

🌊What is the FUTURE of fashion? Will it continue to pain our oceans? Will we change our fashion culture to Wear Our Values? Do we need economic penalties and laws that regulate the fashion industry? What do you think?

🌊As .sylviaearle said today , “the Ocean is Art”. Artist as myself, are telling the world we can not stay silent. I ask my fellow artists to unify for the planet 🌊

The world needs hope and inspiration. I am here to share my life’s work as a multi disciplinary artist using art, film and fashion for the planet and for you💚. I hope you are inspired.
