It’s been a busy and exciting few weeks! We’re preparing for the pending adoption of our current foster boy, Tidus, while also welcoming our two newest foster puppies, Mochi and Mushu. ❤️

These tiny bundles of joy are 10 weeks old and busy learning the ropes of potty training, all while having plenty of fun with the big pups!

Today is the day! We are so proud to officially open Susan Cookson’s Rays of Sunshine raffle and auction. As many of you know, Susan was the heart and soul of our rescue family at Australian Shepherds Furever, and today we begin the work of carrying her legacy forward.

To celebrate the woman who was the "glue" for all of us, we are officially debuting our Sunflower Granny Square Purse! My daughter and I designed this specifically to reflect the warmth Susan gave us whenever we felt anxious or unsure.

☀ Carrying the Light: Susan Cookson’s Rays of Sunshine ☀
If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t quite fit in, you know how much it means to find someone who makes you feel like family. For my daughter and me, that person was Susan Cookson.

Susan was the 'glue' of our rescue community at Australian Shepherds Furever. Beyond helping raise $80k a year for the pups, she was the person who sat with us, eased our anxiety, and helped us connect with new friends. She was a mentor in every sense—giving us foster advice when things were hard and constantly sparking new ideas for our shop.

To honor her, we are participating in Susan Cookson’s Rays of Sunshine raffle (July 12-26). We are so proud to donate our brand-new Sunflower Granny Square Purse and a handcrafted chicken apron to the cause.

✨ Settle in for a special weekend... ✨
As we close out the week on our little farm, our hearts are full. We’ve been spending the evening prepping for a very special event starting this Sunday—one that means the world to our family.

We’re getting ready to share a brand-new design, the Sunflower Granny Square Purse, in honor of a woman who was the 'glue' for us and so many others. Susan Cookson was more than a mentor; she was the person who made you feel like family, even when the world felt a little overwhelming.

We can’t wait to show you how her legacy of 'Rays of Sunshine' is blooming in our shop this weekend.
