Yumiko Sakuma will be at the shop along with
Satoshi Suziki to embellish the Hanten.

My dear friend Yumiko Sakuma has been working with the creators of Kuwano Hanten for several years and we are thrilled to bring Yumiko to the shop for an in-person event.
For Satoshi, what started as simple experimentation evolved into a distinctive craft, with designs drawn from Japanese, Native American, New York, military, and rock and roll influences. Each piece begins as a hand-drawn sketch and is embroidered by hand, no two are identical. His brand, OTAKARA NYC — meaning “Treasure NYC” in Japanese — reflects his hope that every piece becomes a cherished keepsake.
Yumiko Sakuma is an author and cultural connector based between New York and Japan, bringing together unique objects, fresh perspectives, and collaborations that transcend borders and always leave a lasting impression.
