The employee who always says yes eventually learns the most important workplace skill: saying no. 😭
Not because they stopped caring, but because constantly helping everyone else eventually teaches you an expensive lesson: being reliable can quickly turn into being taken for granted.
The more you say yes, the more people assume you'll always be available. Extra shifts, extra tasks, last-minute favors, covering for others... suddenly the things you did to be helpful become things you're expected to do.
Eventually, you realize that having boundaries doesn't make you a bad employee. It means you finally understand the value of your time, energy, and peace.
Sometimes saying “no” is how you stop being the person everyone depends on and start being someone who knows their own limits. 💀
