Last night, I attended an NYU Alumni event at Yankee Stadium for the Dodgers vs. Yankees game.

I thought the highlight of the evening would be watching my favorite player, Shohei Ohtani, step up to the plate.

Instead, the most memorable part of the night had nothing to do with baseball.

I ended up spending most of the game talking with an NYU alumnus who is only two years older than I am. Our conversation wandered from entrepreneurship and investing to life's biggest decisions, failures, successes, and the lessons we've learned along the way. Before we knew it, many innings had flown by.

New York is filled with talented and successful people, but it's rare to find someone willing to have a genuine conversation and openly share their journey. It was an honor to spend the evening watching the game alongside a magnate and exchanging stories that were far more valuable than the final score.

Sometimes you think you're showing up for a game or to see your favorite athlete. Then life surprises you with something even better—a conversation you'll remember long after the last pitch.

Thank you, NYU Alumni, for an unforgettable evening.

Three Sundays ago, I stopped by a little French café before church.

The owner was working completely alone.

As we started talking, I found out he was Romain Cannone — Olympic gold medalist in individual épée fencing for France 🇫🇷🥇.

Then I learned something even more interesting...

He's a Christian.

So I asked him something most people would never ask:

"Close the café for a bit... and come to church with me."

To my surprise, he actually did.

He locked up the shop, left the morning rush behind, and came with me to hear Pastor Peter's sermon from Exilic Presbyterian Church : "Why Are We Christian?"

Afterward, he told me how much he appreciated the message.

The next Sunday...

He came back again.

Moments like these remind me that sometimes all it takes is one simple invitation.

Now I'm hoping he'll join our cooking group too. Imagine authentic French desserts from a family whose roots include restaurants in Paris. 🇫🇷🥐

You never know what God is doing through an ordinary conversation.

Sometimes, the bravest words you can say are simply:

"Come with me."
