Commission for Sydney! ❤️‍🔥❤️ This was a multi step process!

The Steps:
Dress was pre sewn and commercially vat dyed black.
Bleach 4x in small layers.
3x gradient dye, all colors.
3x low water immersion dye, all colors.
Hit fibers with mallet (lol)
1x ice dye, mostly red.
1x final low water immersion, black.

Also just want to say:

Taking a hiatus from my artwork after my parents passed was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I love working with my hands but couldn’t focus and couldn’t do it. Getting back into it is healing. I don’t know if I’ll ever take the amount of commissions I did before, but I’m still here. Thank you for supporting my art ❤️

Rokita and Boruta is going on an extended hiatus.

The website will be up for about another month or more. If you were interested in anything, I’d go ahead and try to get it sooner rather than later.

There are a variety of reasons that went into this decision; originally I was trying to sell my entire art studio, but there was little real interest. This bereavement has sapped any and all of my energy related to R+B, and for that I’m sorry, but I need some time off to heal.

I’m unsure when, or if, I’ll be back to making and dyeing clothes. I appreciate all of you who have supported by purchasing, liking posts, and sharing content.

Commission for Klarmander! 💚🖤 This color scheme was inspired by Shego from the show Kim Possible!

This was a fun project since I had to get the perfect match to a pre-existing green garment. I used black, a dash of teal green, a dash of aqua, lemon yellow, and a touch of goldenrod to create this color match! 🤩

I am currently out of town - all ready to ship orders can ship on the 25th when I’m back in NYC. 💚

A twist on our most popular dyescape, the Gray Guardian!

Size: Small (The only Small in this release!)
Each cardigan in our collaborative release with Harmonic Threads is one of a kind!

The Sage Guardian is a gorgeous low water immersion made with layers of multiple dye baths. Steel gray, sage green, and black dyes were used for this piece. There is some natural lavender, olive green, and amber variation where the pigments have mingled in their dye baths. 🌱

Thigh-highs features are a rainbow gradient from our previous releases! There is a neon rainbow pair available now on the website.

Our collaborative cardigans are:

🧵 Made with bamboo French terry
🧵 Fire safe
🧵 Each cardigan has a hood, two pockets, and thumb holes

Commission for Grace! 💚
This gorgeous pair features some of my all time favorite dye colors! This is a low water immersion piece made with Seafoam, teal green, and our new Seaglass dye! 💙
