Only 0.3% of runway looks were plus-size.
97% were still straight-size.

And yet, we keep hearing that fashion is becoming more inclusive.

So what’s actually going on?

Trends?
GLP-1?
‘90s bodies coming back?

But the real answer is simpler.

It’s expensive.
And it’s hard.

“Expanding size ranges requires investment across pattern-making, sampling, production, inventory, and marketing. It’s not as simple as scaling what already exists.”

💡Inclusivity isn’t just size.

Meanwhile, every time I, as a 32DDD, tried one on, I was disappointed. 😖

Pulls across the chest.
Gapes between the buttons.
And if I size up, I’m swimming in fabric!

So I stopped wearing them.

For a long time, I thought it was just me. But it turns out… I’m not.

After 20+ years in fashion, I realized the issue wasn’t my body, it’s the way shirts are made.

So I designed my own.

No more sizing up.
No adjusting all day.
Just a button down that actually works for larger chests.

Now, we can ALL be iconic. 😉

I wanted a breast reduction. I’m a 32DDD
(technically a 28I).

After 20+ years in fashion, I realized my body wasn’t the issue.

It’s a design issue. Most clothing isn’t built for b!g b👀bs, not bigger than a C-cup.

So I engineered a better fit. No hacks required.

Little me had no idea she’d grow up to build a clothing brand.

But she did know one thing early on:
she loved clothes… and they didn’t always love her back.

By the time I was a DD at 11, I already knew the struggle.
Shirts that fit my chest were huge everywhere else.
Shirts that fit my body pulled across the chest.

For years I thought it was just me.

But, it turns out millions of women deal with the exact same thing!

PerfectDD (pronounced “perfected”) started because I wanted clothes that fit my chest AND the rest of my body. No sizing up. No safety pins. No fashion hacks.

I’m 45 and not afraid to admit that:

1. I’m single. Never married. No kids.
I’ve always told myself I’m good. I’m independent. I’ve got this. And I do… but sometimes I wonder what it would feel like to not carry everything alone.

2. I walked away from a 20-year corporate career at Fortune 100 companies to build my own thing. I’ve never felt more like myself… and I’ve also never made this little money as an adult.

3. Being raised by Korean immigrant parents means I don’t really know how to rest.
If I’m not doing something productive, I feel guilty. Even when I’m exhausted. My brain doesn’t let me just sit still without telling me I should be doing more.

4. Born and raised in NYC, my personality is to go, go, go. I run on hyper speed that I sometimes forget to enjoy the moment.

5. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD. This explains alot but now I’m on a neurotic mission to figure out which form and dosage is right for me.

6. From the outside, I look confident running my own business. But privately, I’m scared of not being able to sustain this on my own, and no one to help absorb the hit if I fall.
