AMIRI’s new San Jose store carries the effortless spirit of Los Angeles north to Silicon Valley, a space defined by the warmth, light and modernity that unite both cities.
Opening at Westfield Valley Fair, AMIRI’s new 2,491 square-foot space has been envisaged by founder and creative director Mike Amiri (MIKE AMIRI). The store is conceived as a sanctuary within the city, drawing on the relaxed elegance of the California home and the understated refinement of the Bay Area.
The space unfolds as a series of connected rooms, each with its own rhythm yet held together by a palette of wood, stone and soft light. An interplay of warmth and restraint defines the store, where natural materials and considered details set the backdrop for AMIRI collections for men and women.
Colors are warm, rich and layered, rendered through burnished pomelé wood, travertine and ivory tones. Grained pomelé paneling and shelving wrap each room in a warm glow, while sheer curtains diffuse the light and lend the space an airy softness. Travertine tile underfoot and warm textured wallcoverings ground the interior, while hand-embroidered artworks give it the sensibility of a personal collection.
Underscoring the notion of home, bespoke rugs anchor intimate lounge areas throughout the store, joined by onyx accent pieces. Together they blur the lines between retail and residence and mark San Jose as a new AMIRI home.
