Here’s a quick breakdown of when to use each:
🖤 French Seams: Enclose raw edges inside a double seam. Ideal for lightweight, sheer, and delicate fabrics like chiffon or bias-cut garments.
🖤 Flat-Felled Seams: Fold seam allowances under and topstitch them flat. Perfect for sturdy, thicker fabrics like denim or canvas.

The accessory you didn't know you needed! 🧦✨ Learn how to sew your own cozy, custom leg warmers using a soft brushed stretch waffle sweater knit!

How to sew leg warmers:
1️⃣ Cut: Measure below-knee to ankle + 1" for length. Measure calf circumference, divide in half, + 1" for width on fold. Cut 2 on the fold.
2️⃣ Seams: Fold lengthwise, right sides together. Sew side seams with a 1/2" seam allowance using a stretch stitch.
3️⃣ Hem: Fold bottom edge under 1/2" and stitch. Turn right side out.
4️⃣ Elastic: Cut 2 elastics 1" smaller than calf circumference (e.g., 9"). Stitch ends to form rings.
5️⃣ Finish Top: Pin elastic inside top edge using the quartering method. Stitch while stretching. Fold down twice to encase elastic, then stitch beneath the band!
