Taught to sew as a child by her mother, Carmen’s first creation was at age of 9. At sixteen Carmen designed, draped and, sewed the bridesmaid’s dresses for her brother’s wedding. At a very young age she worked in factories making dresses, later started her home business knitting sweaters for Dara Sedaka in 1982, dressing such stars as Toni Tenille and Marilyn McCoo to mention a few. here she received AA Degree in Applied Science and Bachelors in Production Management Apparel. Studied fashion at the Instituto Italiano Internazionalle della Moda Polimoda in Florence, Italy. In 1985, Carmen began consulting and designing wedding dresses. In 1993, Carmen designed, draped and built the first 15 wedding dresses for Manale’s first bridal collection. In 1998, Carmen designed and built children s clothes for Bella’s Kids collection. Carmen worked extensively throughout the Fashion, TV, Movie and Theater Industry to mention a few: DKNY, Parsons & Meares, BBC, NBC, Tori Burch and more. Current projects: Kate Spade Market Week, projects with Catherine Zuber for "War Paint" "Roman Holiday" and with a variety of Fashion and Celebrities Stylists. On site Fittings -Tailoring - Seamstress Services by Appointment Only. Product Development, Samples, Mock Ups, Pattermaking, Draping, Replicas of Period and Modern Clothing, Duplicates, Repairs, Alterations in general. Works with all kinds of fabrics including Fur, Leather,and Knits.
