“I don’t gatekeep… I’ll share my latest NOS source with you guys!! was WILD! I spent the morning digging through boxes and boxes of vintage rhinestones, beads, etc. Most is sold by the pound and I’m returning home with a bag full of vintage rhinestones (loot shoot coming soon). My favorite part? All the cardboard boxes! Japan, west Germany, Chez. CJS is a specialized closeout jewelry supply warehouse - if you’re a jewelry maker, you’d go crazy. Chains, beads, filagree, etc. Everything you could possibly think of. Father-daughter duo Carl and Elyse Schimel opened CJS in 2002, and Carl was a former jewelry designer and manufacturer. Thank you to Elyse for helping me dig around! Will definitely be back the next time I’m in NYC.
*** You have to have a wholesale Tax ID and appointment (M&Th) to shop. Wear close-toe shoes and dark colors! Need multiple hours to sort through stuff.
