And here we are at the end of another semester! It was filled with joy and sometimes tears. But everyday, I am blessed to witness the creatve process of these up and coming designers! I am so proud of them (especially the senior class), and honored to share and support their learning experiences! Special congratulations to the Class of 2026!! ❤️

Please help me celebrate my Sistar AND the creative director of the Black Dress Project, Rachelle ! In her ever growing list of titles (which includes wife, mother,daughter, sister, friend, my unpaid therapist), she has now added Master of Art in Art Direction!!!! I am so happy for and proud of this leg of her journey!!! I'm honored to call her my Sisterfriend!! Can't wait to see what's next! Much love and continued blessings!🙏🏾♥️💐🎊🎉🥳✨️

is New York–based jewelry designer and maker. Her work is inspired by the
beauties of nature and the worlds of fantasy with a touch of romanticism and the baroque. Some themes found in her work include flowers, trees, butterflies and earthworms.
She has worked for various jewelry companies while simultaneously developing her own vision and various collections. In 2023, Angely was the Recipient of NYCJW’s HERE WE ARE Exhibition Award sponsored by David Yurman. The award provided her the opportunity to create her first
exhibition, celebrating 5 years as a professional jewelry designer.

Join us this Thursday, April 9 at 6 p.m. at Pratt for an in-depth conversation with Shara McHayle, Jameel Mohammed, Lorraine West, and Angely Martinez, moderated by Professor Adrienne Jones. This event is free and open to the public but registration is required.
