Happy 250th Birthday America ๐๐บ๐ธ๐
Iโm grateful for this great country and the opportunities Iโve been given. Iโve been able to live and build my dream freely but I will never take that for granted because โFREEDOM IS NOT FREEโ and it never was. The people before us fought for our rights and freedoms. We have to honor them, and keep carrying the legacy of American history, and its true missions.
My life path brought me here to the U.S decades ago. It was then that I first learned about American history and government, from a history teacher at the highschool I attended for a year in Utah was so brilliant that I felt inspired and grateful for the founding fathers, the leaders and the generations of American patriots.
Later, I learned even more about American history and government as part of my general studies at college and from the handbook for my citizenship test. I then took the Oath of Allegiance.
I did not just understand, I felt what it truly means to be a patriotic American. Because of that, I am and always will be a responsible, dutiful, and a faithful citizen. I did not have the privilege of being born in America, but because it was my choice and I worked so hard for it, to earn it, I will never take it for granted.
America was never about one race, one religion, one group of people or supremacy. It has always been about freedom and democracy and the courages of the people who fought for it and keep the legacy going. Because some people with the wrong ideas, full of hate in their hearts, will always try to destroy everything this nation stands for.
This year, we should not only celebrate freedom and the democracy of America, we should also protect it.
As an immigrant American, I will always stand up for what is right no matter what, I will be a faithful and dutiful citizen to this county and on the right side of history with my husband, a gentleman, a true American, and also loving, kind, and supportive husband by my side.
