Architecture is not exclusive to physical structures. True architecture lends itself to designing moments and memories.

The launch of an immersive Kids Space Outdoors is a beautiful example of how design and engineering creates impact.

Not observed, but enjoyed.
Lived.
Slid down.
And climbed up.

Rebel Dog Coffee Co. + POLAR SELTZER = Aura Overload

At the NAHA Ribbon Cutting, the Rebel boys fired up the pizza, and iced down the soft drinks…

But like, no one ever has my Polar Lime. That’s my s**t.

Cheers!

There are people who represent a company…

…and there are people who represent an entire industry.

After spending time with Lucas Boselli, I walked away believing he is firmly in the second category.

Despite leading one of the world’s most recognized access control organizations, what stood out wasn’t corporate scale—it was genuine curiosity, humility, and a desire to connect.

🔹 Great leaders create access before they create influence.
Lucas has built relationships by sharing knowledge, creating opportunities, and bringing people together across our industry.

🔹 Stewardship extends beyond your own organization.
The conversations weren’t centered around products—they were centered around the future of life safety, security, and the responsibility we all share in shaping better environments.

🔹 Innovation begins with listening.
Before the best ideas are designed, engineered, or manufactured… they are understood. The willingness to listen may be one of the most underrated leadership traits.

As someone who spends every day helping clients create safe, secure, and meaningful environments, I always appreciate meeting people who recognize that our work is ultimately about people—not hardware.

The locks, doors, readers, and access systems are simply the tools.

The experience they create is what truly matters.

Thank you, Lucas, for your hospitality, your generosity, and for the work you continue to do—not only for ASSA ABLOY Group , but for the access control industry as a whole.

Looking forward to many more conversations.

The best brand, is the one that allows the user to tell their own story through the products.

The most compelling thing I found during my visit to had nothing to do with locks or doors.

As designers, manufacturers, integrators, and installers, it’s easy to become consumed by the hardware. We debate specifications, materials, finishes, and technology…

But those things are only the medium.
The means by which we all do our work.

📖 Story Telling happens once that product exists in space 📖

🧍🏽The human experience defines products🧍🏻‍♀️

🏢 Every building has a purpose.

Whether it’s a hospital, school, university, airport, or workplace, every space exists to support human experience.

🚪 Products should quietly support that experience.

The best access solutions don’t compete for attention—they create confidence, safety, and seamless movement.

👥 The people complete the design.

A door isn’t meaningful until someone opens it. A classroom isn’t inspiring until students fill it. A hospital isn’t healing until caregivers and patients bring it to life.

🙌🏽It’s what I appreciate most in thoughtful product design🙌🏽

🛑 It isn’t about creating the centerpiece…
✅ It’s about creating the conditions for someone else’s story to unfold.

And that philosophy extends far beyond our industry 🗺️

Whether we’re manufacturing hardware, designing buildings, or leading teams, our greatest work isn’t creating the product. 🛠️

True branding, is empowering the people who will ultimately give that product meaning. 🙏🏽

Thank you to the incredible team at ASSA ABLOY for sharing not only your innovations, but the philosophy behind them. 💡

Scale Doesn’t Create Culture. People Do.

Last week I was invited by to visit their historic SARGENT manufacturing facility in New Haven, Connecticut.

Walking through a campus of this scale, it’s easy to be impressed by the technology, the manufacturing processes, and the global reach of the organization.

🛑But that’s not what stayed with me…
💚What stayed with me, was the people.

For those of us in the access control industry, it’s easy to spend our days talking about specifications, hardware, software integrations, and life safety codes.

Those things matter—they’re the foundation of what we do.

We can talk about acquisitions, markets… and all the business stuff.

But behind every product, logged into every meeting is a team of people who have dedicated their careers to solving one simple challenge:

How do we create environments where people can move safely, securely, and confidently❓

That’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly, and it was inspiring to spend time with an organization that clearly doesn’t either.

I’m grateful to Lucas Boselli for the invitation and for the opportunity to see firsthand how a global leader continues to invest in both innovation and the people who make it possible.

Because sometimes the most valuable thing you bring home from a manufacturing facility isn’t a new product…. It’s a new perspective.

Twenty Fair Street New Haven is in full bloom.

In my opinion, the City of New Haven is the beating pulse of Connecticut. It’s alive with restaurants, businesses, and schools.

No new development respresents how vibrant and alive New Haven is better than the bright biophilic architecture of Twenty Fair Street.

From the rooftop gardens to the immersive greenway, the consistent and holistic design that flows throughout this community is bursting with life.

Innovation Is Human. That’s What We Strive To Do.

I had a chance to catch up with Nick from CT Invention Convention

Here’s what stood out:

- Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC) is not new
- Nick has been at the event for 26 years
- The energy of the event has changed, because of the kids
- Innovation knows no bounds, thats what forces change
- For someone who didn’t want to present, he sure can talk good

Emma’s ‘Little Helper’ Invention was a Big Winner 🏆

I might sound like a whole Dad here, but can you imagine how much confidence gets built when a young girl is given the opportunity to create and compete and win!?

- At first, she’s blown away “I did it!”

But Here’s the Future Creator part… that feeling is a part of her now, “I can do this!”

What you’re seeing is a kid who now knows:

- She’s capable of achieving high level praise
- Her ideas are liked by total strangers
- When she sees it through, it’s different

There is a difference between parental support, and public praise.

• It’s unbiased
• It’s honest
• It can’t be simulated

06/23/2026

There’s a difference between being told you’re capable, and proving it on a stage in front of strangers.

These kids are bright.💡

Watch them long enough and you stop seeing children with ideas, and start seeing the FutureCreators who are going to solve the problems we haven’t even hit yet.
