After some 14 hours, the plane finally landed. I rubbed my swollen feet and looked out the window. It had been many years since the last time I was here. Every time I visit Tokyo, a monsoon of emotions swallows me. My senses are on high alert, searching every corner for new stimulation, a new adventure.

Céline said it best: “To travel is very useful; it makes the imagination work—”

The act of physical travel is great; it stimulates the senses. You walk around, taking in the unknown. But I often find myself reminiscing about the trip after I come home, trying to find meaning in the things I left unnoticed.

The name “Comfit” has a dual meaning: Comfortable Fit + Compression Fitness. A couple of days ago, as I was developing our new product lines for Q3 of 2026 and flipping through my old notebooks, I found the page of Comfit’s initial ideation. It’s quite interesting to see some of your ideas come from a mundane daily routine.

I remember that day clearly. I finished work and went to the gym near my house. As usual the place was packed. Some people looked like they came with a stylist. Others looked as if they came straight from office, changed into whatever they had in the gym bag. As I watched, I noticed that many of them, including me, were still wearing the same socks from work.
The idea was as simple as that.

We designed Comfit to be a versatile sock that can be worn straight from work and transition directly into physical activities without the need to change into a different pair of socks.

For many of us on the East Coast, this winter felt like it was never going to end. Now that we’ve entered April, it seems spring has finally arrived—or not; these days, you never really know. We have a short window to enjoy outdoor sports in ideal temperatures before the heat of summer sets in just a few weeks from now.
