In the underground New York of the late ’70s and early ’80s, became one of the most recognizable voices of the downtown scene.

Part of the legendary New York graffiti movement, he moved alongside figures such as Basquiat, Keith Haring, A-One, Rammellzee and Toxic. Artists who transformed subway cars and downtown streets into cultural history.

New York in those years was not just a city. It was a collision of art, music, graffiti, fashion and survival. Downtown Manhattan became a living canvas where artists, writers, musicians and outsiders were creating an entirely new visual language together.

But Kool Koor’s universe was never only about graffiti writing.
His paintings speak about interstellar revelations, cosmic wars, hidden realities, androids travelling through dimensions and systems trying to control human thought.

For him, “Live Your Own Nature” becomes something deeper.
Protecting your own frequency inside a world constantly trying to program you.

This documentary was created during the L-Y-O-N presentation at in New York, together with collector Hong Gyu Shin, whose instinctive way of connecting artworks, artists and stories became an essential part of the project.

More than a simple recap, this film captures a fragment of a world built on intuition, energy, identity and unseen connections.
