Meet Amy, ATASHI’s Social Media Coordinator.

Amy is currently pursuing her M.S. in Marketing at Baruch College after earning her B.S. in Fashion and Textile Technology. She first met Founder Walter Dixon as a student at the High School of Fashion Industries, where he was one of her teachers. Amy still remembers Walter introducing the idea of ATASHI to the class on just his second day of teaching. Years later, she never imagined she would be helping bring that same vision to life.

To Amy, ATASHI represents more than a fashion brand. It is a community built on creativity, authenticity, and the belief that everyone deserves the freedom to express themselves through GenderFluid design.

As Social Media Coordinator, Amy leads content strategy, content creation, and community engagement while sharing the stories behind every collection, campaign, and milestone. She is passionate about building meaningful connections with the ATASHI community and helping the brand continue to grow.

Swipe to meet more of the faces bringing the ATASHI vision to the DapperQ runway this New York Fashion Week.

DaJuan Harris is a New York City–based performer, choreographer, actor, and movement artist. Their work spans television, film, theater, fashion, and live performance, with credits including Madonna, Todrick Hall, Jonte’, Honey Dijon, the Apollo Theater, Netflix’s Rhythm + Flow, and the acclaimed q***r series NATIVES.

Passionate about storytelling through movement, DaJuan continues to create work that celebrates authenticity, artistry, and self-expression. They are honored to make their New York Fashion Week runway debut with ATASHI RTW.

Alec Vereen is a dancer/ performer turned model based in New York City. Standing 5’8” her background in dance and movement allows her to find her light both on the runway and in photos. Alec has been one of Walter Dixons original dolls, making her debut, wearing Atashi at the SoHarlem Fashion Show in 2024. Known for her sass, poise and versatility, she continues to build her network of photographers and designers. When not in front of the camera or on the runways, Alec performs in drag at local q***r bars around NYC.

Meet Sally, a NYC-based model who loves collaborating with independent artists that are unapologetically bold and willing to push the boundaries of what art “should” be. She’s excited to be part of the ATASHI runway and can’t wait to see you on September 10 during New York Fashion Week.

Hi, I am Abigail! I have been part of the ATASHI family for nearly two years, starting in Operations and Human Resources before growing into my current role as Junior Business Manager. Today, I manage sponsorships, partnerships, and help keep everything running behind the scenes.

I am currently majoring in Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), where I continue to combine my love for fashion with business and brand strategy. What drew me to ATASHI is a belief we share: fashion should be for everyone, free from rigid gender expectations, and a way for people to express who they are authentically.

I am incredibly grateful to work alongside such a hardworking, creative, and supportive team. Being part of ATASHI has given me the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally, and I am beyond excited to see where this next year takes ATASHI!

Every designer has that one tool they cannot work without.

For Founder & CEO Walter Dixon, it is Scotch tape.

From quick adjustments to bringing ideas to life, sometimes the simplest tools become the most essential part of the creative process.

What is one item you cannot live without? Let us know in the comments.

A recap of ATASHI at “Ball Without Billionaires.”

Held as a worker-led fashion show and act of protest of the 2026 Met Gala.

“Ball Without Billionaires” created a space for community, creativity, and fashion outside of traditional systems of exclusivity.

These values deeply resonate with the heart of ATASHI and our mission of self-expression, inclusivity, and community-centered design.

From the final adjustments before the runway to the energy of showtime, this experience was a powerful reminder of what fashion car represent when it is rooted in people and purpose.

Thank you to everyone who supported and shared this moment with us ♥️
