While reading through your comments recently, we realized that so many of you actually found us there. We even received messages from Walmart Associates sharing how empowering it felt to walk by a display featuring not just the two of us, a gay Mexican-American couple, but four LGBTQ+ small businesses.

august is transgender history month, and weā€™re not letting it pass quietly.

thereā€™s no q***r history without trans history. full stop. the space we take up, the rights we celebrate, the freedom to just be, all of it was fought for by trans people who put their bodies on the line long before it was safe to. comptonā€™s cafeteria, 1966. three years before stonewall. thatā€™s where so much of this begins.

so weā€™ll say it plainly: we owe so much to our trans community. the trancestors, the elders, and everyone still writing the next chapter right now.

to every trans person in the weer fam, we see you, weā€™re with you, and weā€™re not going anywhere.
