The batik painting in the first slide still hangs in my living room back home in India today. It’s more than just decor; it’s a constant, silent reminder of the artistic eye my grandmother applied to everything she touched. This is just one of her many artworks. Everything was instagram worthy but unfortunately phones weren’t that common back then.

She had this incredible ability to turn her talent into a lifeline, using her art to help manage our home and fill our spaces with a beauty that felt uniquely, undeniably hers.

The second photo has a batik border she created and attached to her saree..carried with ultimate poise, grace, and a genuine smile on her face.

Watching her move through the world, I realized that she possessed duality that every one of us have. She was undeniably strong, helping us build our lives, yet she remained the kindest, most graceful soul in any room.

She taught me that being independent doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your softness or your creativity. It means having the conviction to be true to yourself, regardless of the noise.

I carry that balance with me every day, and every piece we design at Monsoon Breeze is an attempt to bring that same spirit of strength and grace into the lives of the women who wear them.
