The beauty of this Amagansett dining room is all in the details! I wanted it to feel relaxed and coastal, but still tailored, layered and special enough for everything from casual breakfasts to long summer dinners!

Soft blue upholstery keeps the palette fresh, while woven textures, warm wood tones and beautifully finished accents add depth and keep this space from feeling too light or predictable. Even the smallest elements were chosen to work together, including the Luce Divina candles, which bring a soft glow and a little extra magic to the table.

It’s proof that a coastal room doesn’t need obvious seaside motifs to capture that easy Hamptons feeling!

I’m so excited to share that I’m working on the interior design “refresh” of the famous Broadway restaurant, Sardi’s! It opened in 1927 and is part of NYC history, we’re keeping all the elements that make this special spot iconic, the actors drawings and the red banquettes and I’m making sure that people will want to continue making it a part of their Broadway theater experience for the next 100 years! This is such a special project to me and it’s not just about interior design, it’s about stewardship and keeping a magical place going that means so much to so many people over the years! We celebrated on June 24th the night before it closed but it’s just a brief intermission before we open this Broadway beauty back in the fall, stay tuned for updates along the way!!

Welcome August!! June and July have been gorgeous and I’m ready to soak up all the summer goodness that’s left, here are a few pics of summer so far!!! Excited for house guests, project site visits, fun with family, Sag Harbor sunsets, tending to the garden to keep it blooming and a bumper crop of tomatoes!! 🍅 have a wonderful weekend and August, LET’S DO THIS!

I truly treasure the relationship I have with the incredible team at Decorating Den Interiors, and it’s always such an honor to be part of their Annual Conference!

One of my favorite things about this industry is supporting other designers, sharing what I’ve learned, and helping them feel inspired and confident as they grow their businesses. I’m also incredibly grateful to the many Decorating Den designers who choose pieces from my licensed collections for Fairfield, Crystorama Lighting | MAKE LIFE BRIGHT and for their projects. Seeing those designs become part of the beautiful spaces they create is such a meaningful extension of this special relationship!

I’m so thankful that Decorating Den continues to invite me back year after year. Spending time with this talented, enthusiastic group is always a highlight!

Neutral definitely doesn’t have to mean boring!! The magic is in layering warm woods, beautiful stone, textured fabrics and plenty of contrast so the room feels rich, inviting and full of personality.   A neutral palette can be calm and sophisticated, but it still needs depth to keep it interesting. It’s all about mixing tones and textures until the space feels warm, collected and completely comfortable.   Are you Team Neutral, or do you always need a little color in the mix?

People sometimes think using bold color means a room will feel overwhelming. I actually find the opposite is true when it’s balanced thoughtfully!

In this space, pops of bold color, playful artwork, and a colorful accent chair all work together because the backdrop stays light and calm. The oversized watercolor wallcovering adds movement without feeling busy, while the acrylic chairs and clean-lined furnishings keep everything feeling open and airy.

It’s proof that you don’t have to choose between fun and sophisticated! You really can have both!

Designing Masseria dei Vini was such a fun opportunity to bring a little piece of Southern Italy to New York City!

A masseria is a traditional fortified farmhouse found throughout Puglia, and I loved the idea of reimagining that rustic Italian character for a younger, chic NYC audience. Dark wood tones, pale stone floors, washed wood ceiling beams, softly textured walls, and dramatic black-and-white photography create a space that feels sleek, warm, and completely welcoming.

The lighting was especially important because a restaurant should feel cozy and inviting in every season, whether you’re settling in for a long dinner or stopping by for a glass of wine.

Paired with the incredible food, service, and hospitality, the finished space gives you the feeling of escaping to Italy without ever leaving the city!
