One of their cozy rugs was losing structural integrity and I was brought in to repair it. I combined needle felting with darning to reinforce this beauty. Everything about this shop is a delight— knowing they care about longevity on top of it all is the icing on the cake. ♥️

Couldn’t let this little pup go without their owner’s matching fruit sweater. This is some next level pet parenthood!

Fun fact! My first job in fashion in 2000 was in St. Louis as an assistant designer designing for the May Department Stores’ private label. (Women’s Woven Sportswear and Sleepwear under the labels Valerie Stevens and Erika Taylor) I haven’t seen the Valerie Stevens label in a long time- May was bought by Macy’s in 2005. So it was a fun surprise to get this VS cashmere cardigan to repair! I remember that the quality of fabrics we used was decent and the construction was solid— not like the fast fashion we see today. Happy to see this 21+ year old sweater keep chugging!
