Family photo with the Council of Fashion Designers of America 🖤

Every so often you get to pause and look around at the people who built you. This is one of those moments. I think back to the Incubator Program — the very first class — and how far that leap of faith has carried me. Every person in this photo has been part of that road, in ways big and small.

Today we celebrate something bigger than any one of us: 250 years of America, told through fifty flags for fifty states. It’s a reminder that this industry, at its best, is a mosaic — of cultures, of stories, of hands that make things by hand, still, in a city that taught me how.

To my CFDA family — thank you for the years, the challenges, and the celebrations. Here’s to many more.
