On this day, 1 August, in 1944, Anne Frank wrote the last entry in her diary: 'I'm afraid that people who know me as I usually am will discover I have another side, a better and finer side.'
She writes that there are two sides to her: one that is lighthearted and cheerful, and one that is much deeper. She doesn't show that side to other people, in fear of being mocked or not being taken seriously. Can you relate to her?
