MARK INGRAM BRIDE // FW 2027

“This season I wanted to evoke a celebratory feeling within the gowns and collection in honor of my personal celebration of being a bridal retailer for 25 years. Each gown draws upon a bride or bridal gown that speaks to the women I have dressed and the gowns I have curated within my own store. The fabrications and silhouettes are trend-forward yet classic and sophisticated - an approach in gowns I have always been comfortable with, and truly speaks to my heart and style.”

Mark Ingram photographed with this season’s model in the great Silver Corridor of the famed Waldorf Astoria New York.

Mark Ingram Atelier x 25 Years

Highlight: Our Brides, Our City.

Alexander and Molly were married at the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in SoHo, the first cathedral built in New York City, followed by a reception at Balthazar, one of the couple’s favorite restaurants. Rather than following traditional wedding conventions, they designed the evening to feel like an elevated dinner party with their closest friends and family. To create a truly unique experience, the couple secured a rare New York City permit allowing Spring and Crosby Streets to be closed for the duration of the celebration. Guests were welcomed with live music, towering seafood towers, signature cocktails, and passed canapés, creating the atmosphere of a lively Parisian-style street party in the heart of SoHo.

Molly shared, “I wore the Valentini Spose x Mark Ingram halter gown, and I truly couldn’t have loved it more. While trying on dresses, I told my sales associate Tammy (who was incredible) that my dream would be to have delicate lace sleeves in addition to the halter neckline- and your team made it happen. Your alterations team was absolutely incredible, custom-making detachable sleeves using yards of the same lace from my gown with hidden buttons that allowed me to seamlessly transform my look throughout the day. I wore the dress without sleeves for our first look, added the sleeves for the ceremony and part of cocktail hour, then removed them midway through cocktail hour for a completely different look that carried me through the rest of the evening. It felt like I had two dream dresses in one, and the craftsmanship was absolutely flawless!”

Highlight: Deborah Roberts x Met Gala ‘Superfine’

Deborah Roberts - special news reporter for ABC and co-anchor on CNN’s 20/20 - first wore a custom Mark Ingram Evening gown to the The Met Gala of 2024, “The Garden of Time” in a Harlem toile print designed by Sheila Bridges and a silhouette born of Mark’s ‘Ava’ gown that he gifted to Deborah to wear for a prior event. There was no big announcement that she would wear the gown, but she did and with full support of the man behind the design.

From there, the admiration only grew for one another, and a second Met Gala gown was created for 2025’s ‘Superfine’ on-air coverage. Mark created a silk-mikado trouser and tuxedo- “I took my cues from the gala theme of menswear tailoring....but wanted to make sure she remained feminine. Her outfit suggests a men’s formal cutaway jacket and tails with a seamed cropped tailored trouser. The look is finished off with men’s formalwear details...black bow tie, French cuffs with studs and a black top hat with Russian tulle veiling.”

Highlight: Destination Weddings in the South

While our Atelier remains exclusively in New York City, our brides take our gowns everywhere. Highlight: That time Zendaya Came to Mark’s

It’s not every day you get a call to say that global superstar, not only wants to come to your Atelier BUT surprise a bride with buying her gown— but at Mark’s it does!

A24 Films reached out on referral from another Mark Ingram bride who also happened to work at Zendaya’s upcoming film, The Drama. The moment was meant to be real for the couple, despite the planning and logistics of the PR moment. The engaged bride, Alexandra Warren and her fiancé KB, both came to the Atelier for a private appointment to find her gown with the help of our stylist Mckenzie Salvatierra-Custin and celebrity stylist Law Roach Law Roche. Then, as if that weren’t amazing enough, Zendaya walked in to close the deal and bought the wedding gown on the spot. It was lovely and intimate despite it also going viral! The couple plan to wed next year.

Highlight: The Timeline

It was the summer of 2001 when Mark Ingram found out he was going to lose his job as the retail director and buyer for Wearkstatt. By the fall, Mark was signing a 10 year lease for his own business and first store, with the tremendous support of his parents and closest friends - ‘The Bridal Atelier by Mark Ingram’ was set to open the following January when the unthinkable happened - New York City’s 9/11.

Despite a grieving city and lots of uncertainty, Mark moved ahead and spent every waking moment determined to open with success - and to that he did.

Here is just a very high level timeline of his journey to 25 years, a one we all collectively say, Bravo! 🥂

Highlight: A Designer Appearance

When Lena Lena Angelina was planning her classic New York City wedding, that word “classic” was the one theme she wanted throughout. With the help of our Mark Ingram, Lena’s gown was the perfect combination of elegance and timelessness, channeling her inner Grace Kelly, she and Mark created a custom couture gown just to her liking, with a beaded lace bodice, high-collar neckline and a long sleeve.

“It was absolutely timeless” Lena shared, “the dress pulled the entire day and vision together, and Mark surprising me at The Pierre the morning of my day made it extra special and memorable.”

Highlight: The Move to Madison

This October marks three years since Mark Ingram Atelier moved into its new home on Madison & 53rd. The team and gowns have settled in by now, even further expanding to the 6th floor with the addition of an alterations studio.

“Having this space, the gowns on the floor, allows for our brides to ship without ‘fear of missing out,’ Mark shares. “Everyone wants to know their options and see for themselves the gowns and styles we offer.” The exposed gowns and expansion of square-footage wasn’t the only change on Madison, as the space made room for even more new designers to join the roster, new team members and always — endless new arrivals.
