If the shoulders look off, the waist feels loose, or the fabric is collapsing through the back, you can’t fix it by guessing from the front. You have to shape the jacket where the issue actually shows up.

That’s why the pinning matters. A little room taken in at the right place can clean up the whole silhouette without making the jacket feel tight or overdone. Sharp, not shrink-wrapped. 🪡👌

Unlike wool, there’s no easy “just press it out” moment. Every mark, cut, and stitch has to be planned before the work begins.

Here, the sleeve is being measured and marked carefully so the jacket keeps its structure, the cuff lands clean, and the leather still looks like it was always meant to fit that way.

Small adjustment. Very permanent fabric.
