What a journey it has been for Raúl Jiménez.
He scored his first-ever goal at the most-watched tournament in the world.
He grew up in Tepeji del Río, about an hour from Mexico City. There were no proper goals, so he and his friends used two rocks as goalposts.
Fast forward, and Raúl has scored 68 goals in the Premier League, the most by any Mexican player.
From nearly dying on the pitch in 2020, to sending 80,000 fans into celebration in his home nation.
The 1904 is recognition; reserved for those whose conduct and character reflect football’s highest standards — humility, integrity, discipline.
To be part of The 1904 is to stand for what the game stands for.
