Soccer was a big part of my identity. In some ways, it still is.

I played in college, and all these years later, and my soccer friends are still my best friends.

Here we are in 2025, on our old field at Wesleyan University’s men’s soccer program’s 100 year anniversary. Who says soccer is new in the US?

It was a great time seeing old friends. .. I think I’ve converted Avi (to the right) into a denimhead. Still working on Tommy.

Oh, and each year we’d take a team photo. Sophomore year, I decided to have a little fun. It went well, so I kept the trend alive, and basically made a fool of myself when the camera shutter opened. Yo … these pictures STILL make me laugh!! Excited to show them to my kids tonight.

So in celebration of the WC, we’re going to be having a viewing party at the workshop this Friday starting at 8pm. USA vs. Paraguay. Game 1.

Let me tell you a story.

Over the years, we’ve searched far and wide for textiles that meet our standards, not just in construction, but in character.

One mill I always had deep respect for was Collect. But try as I might, I could never get in contact with them. And for years, I tried!

Then I received an email that changed the trajectory of the brand.

The subject line: “We would like to start a business relationship with you.”

From? You guessed it. The good people at Collect Mills.

Sometimes life guides you places. Other times it just showed up.

I’m honored to offer some of the best denim in the world from one of the best mills in the world.

Not everything that happens in the workshop makes it into a finished garment.

Patterns are refined. Fabrics are tested. Details are debated. Samples are sewn, unsewn, and sewn again.

Lately, much of that work has centered around our Fatigue Pants. Inspired by a military classic, but built the way we believe clothing should be made, thoughtfully, intentionally, and with an obsession for the details that most people never see.

These photos are a glimpse into that process. The cutting tables, fabric rolls, pattern pieces, and in-between moments that slowly become something worth wearing.

From first sketch to finished pair.

Before the jeans, before the fades, before the stitching, it started with a pencil and a notebook in Brooklyn.

The Brooklyn Bridge arcuates were originally hand drawn by me as a way to bring a piece of the city into every pair we make. Inspired by the curves and structure of the bridge itself, the design became one of the signatures of FITTED Underground.

Years later, it still ends up on every back pocket.

Built in Brooklyn. Worn everywhere.

Making the D17 Teal Kibata.

Cut, sewn, and finished in our Williamsburg workshop.

Our D13 Teal Kibata is built from 100% Japanese selvedge denim with a slubby vertical warp, beige weft, and classic red selvedge ID. Packed with character from the start and designed to wear in even better over time.

“Kibata” refers to unsanforized denim in its most natural state. The fabric has not been pre-shrunk and the yarns have not been singed, preserving the texture, irregularity, and character that make fabrics like this so special. Ours is rinsed once to remove excess shrinkage, while keeping everything that gives the denim its depth.

The Chelsea Twill Selvedge workshirts dropped a little more than a week ago featuring some of our favorite details: pure brass buttons, triple stitched felled seams, chainstitch runoff and hidden collar buttons.

We’ve already sold out of the green selvedge twill, and the tan and navy are going fast as well. We appreciate everyone’s support and continued interest in our products!

All made right here in our Brooklyn workshop.
