Our Story...

NYC Bride is a brainchild of young entrepreneurs Tanya and Natalya. They have been friends since childhood, and the wedding gown project has been a long-time dream of the two.

The dresses are produced in Chernivtsi, the Ukrainian city famous for its European beauty and proudly called “a little Vienna.” Its wedding industry is the biggest in the country, and brides from different Ukrainian cities travel to Chernivtsi for their perfect dress.

Tanya has been in business for many years, working and learning industry developments and practices in Ukraine and abroad. She oversees the production of beautifully crafted wedding gowns and accessories in Ukraine. She lives in Ukraine but regularly travels to other countries in a search for new fashion trends that are subsequently used to modernize the local designs.

Natalya came to NYC more than a decade ago, bringing along her talent to see beauty in simple things and recreate it in intricately detailed designs; the desire to share her native country’s traditional embroidery with her new homeland; and the aspiration to dress the New York brides in the most beautiful yet affordable wedding gowns.

Together they form a duo that weaves Ukraine’s embroidery traditions and U.S. modern coolness into exquisite yet affordable wedding dresses and accessories.

NYC Bride’s DNA preserves its founders’ national identity as a core, but it as well has absorbed the trendiness and timelessness of the New York City style. The company’s major goal is to dress American brides in beautifully handcrafted gowns made by Ukrainian seamstresses and keep wedding the quality of the European dressing tradition with the modern look of the world’s busiest city.
