What does protection look like to you? Does Art and creativity play a role in defining those ideologies? For me, it does. Our ancestors left clues in their work, Art, food and language. I hope my work conveys messages that are steeped in authenticity, self love, boundless creativity and that I protect my values at all costs. My weaving is layered and requires I create beauty with tension. Without tension, my furniture would not support the bodies that sit and rest on them. It’s a beautiful offering.
