To all my Valued Friends and Patrons...
The time has finally, unavoidably, come to shut down my Ballston Spa shop.
What a journey---49 years since I spent my first summer on Cape Cod making custom sandals and all things fringe!
Ive put myself through school, became a single mom raising kids, and built a great life for sure, all through my leather work. I have met amazing people at every turn....
But in 2023, my business model doesn't work for numerous reasons. Half the the incoming projects are non-repairable materials, and I spend too much time alone.
I have no real plan, other than I am leaving NY. I will be traveling a lot...hoping to have a good breath and restore my creativity and sense of adventure!
It has been my life's blessing and privilege to help and serve so many veterans, riders, other shops, so many customers turned friends!!
I have never felt more "community" than here...
But, I am a wandering girl, and moving on while I have wind and energy!!
