I used to wear clothes mostly in neutral colors after coming to America, hoping to blend in and assimilate! Today, I stand against any form of assimilation that dismisses my roots and heritage! Now, I love wearing the colors and traditional clothing of different cultures, especially my own, with pride.

When your language, identity, and traditions are under threat, the traditional Chupas become more than just something worn a few times a year or mere fashion; they become symbols of remembrance, resilience, and love. These colors tell the story of where I come from and remind me of home.

If you’ve ever wondered about my clothing or my culture, I hope you’ll ask. Curiosity opens hearts, and every conversation helps us understand one another a little better.
Thank you for allowing me to share my joy!

People have asked me why they haven’t seen me dance. Because I have been feeling a bit low on dance energy, Prince also agrees that maybe I should practice more since my moves are pretty basic! Prince is a kind audience and loves my goofiness because I enjoy being in the moment and hanging with him!

For over 20 years, Karma Fine Crafts has had the privilege of working with artisan families from India’s Mithila region, helping to preserve one of the world’s oldest living folk art traditions.

Mithila (Madhubani) painting is a centuries-old art form traditionally created by women. Every line, symbol, and color carries meaning. Trees represent life and resilience, birds symbolize harmony and freedom, fish signify abundance and fertility, lotus flowers reflect purity and renewal, and sacred figures remind us of wisdom, devotion, and the interconnectedness of all life.

Many of the artists we work with come from historically marginalized Dalit communities, which were once labeled “untouchable” under India’s caste system. Through their extraordinary talent and creativity, these artists have transformed an ancient tradition into a source of cultural pride, dignity, and economic opportunity. Their work is now celebrated around the world while remaining deeply rooted in their heritage.

At Karma Fine Crafts, we believe every handcrafted piece carries a story, one of resilience, identity, and hope. By sharing these paintings, we are honored to help preserve a remarkable artistic tradition and support the families who continue to keep it alive for future generations.

We invite you to visit us and experience these beautiful works in person. Every painting is unique, handcrafted with patience, meaning, and heart.

Happy 91st Birthday to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

At a time when our hearts carry both profound grief and enduring hope, your life continues to remind us that compassion is not weakness; it is courage. In the face of suffering, we choose kindness. In the face of injustice, we choose truth. In the face of despair, we choose hope.

As we honor your birthday with Joy, we also remember Laba Rangzen and others who have sacrificed their lives for Tibet, and we hold every person living under oppression in our prayers. May we have the wisdom to transform our grief into compassionate action, and may we teach our children that even in the darkest moments, our humanity is measured by how deeply we love, understand, and care for one another.

May Your Holiness be blessed with long life, good health, and continued strength to guide humanity.

May compassion always be stronger than hatred, hope stronger than fear, and love stronger than suffering.

I came to the water because I needed somewhere quiet to sit with everything my heart is carrying.

How do we continue to protect a culture, a language, and an identity that generations have fought to preserve?

As a Tibetan who grew up in exile, I find these questions not political but deeply personal. They are connected to my family, my memories, my late husband, my daughters, and to every elder who carried Tibet in their heart after losing their homeland and daily longed to see Free Tibet and return home.

Justice is never built on silence. Peace cannot truly exist when people are denied the freedom to speak their own language, practice their culture, or tell their own story.

Today I don’t have solutions.
I only know that I cannot stop caring.

I will continue to share our culture, support artisans, create beauty, and speak for the dignity of every human being. Perhaps that is where change begins in our own families and our own community, not with hatred, but with courage, compassion, and the refusal to forget.

To everyone who has supported me, my family, and Karma Fine Crafts over the years, thank you for allowing me to bring my whole self into this space. Your kindness reminds me that humanity is still stronger than fear.
May we never lose our compassion.
May we never stop seeking justice.
May we never forget Tibet.

❤️🙏🏽

In Loving Memory of Lobga Rangzen
Who Self-Immolated on July 2, 2026
In front of the United Nations, New York City.
Today, we remember Lobga Rangzen, who made the ultimate sacrifice as a plea to the world's conscience.
His final act was not driven by hatred but by deep love for Free Tibet, its people, language, culture, and spiritual heritage.

Lobga Rangzen is now the 170th known Tibetan to self-immolate in the struggle for a Free Tibet. May his sacrifice strengthen our commitment to peacefully defend the Tibetan people’s right to live freely in our own homeland, each of them leaving behind a message the world cannot ignore.

While opinions about this form of protest may differ, no one should overlook the suffering that forces a human being to believe there is no other way to be heard.

May we honor his memory with compassion, truth, peaceful action, and a steadfast dedication to protecting the dignity and human rights of the Tibetan people!

May his sacrifice never be forgotten.
May Tibet’s culture, language, religion, and people endure the fight for what is ours!
