Sewing in a bustle truly is a work of art. The way your train looks bustled matters for both aesthetic and functional purposes. You want the beauty of your gown to be showcased while being able to dance the night away with your train secured.

This means every bustle looks slightly different to accommodate the bride’s wants and needs since not every bride is the same (or the same height!) This is why a bustle is not pre-sewn and must be installed by a seamstress.

Happy pick-up day, Mary!

We met Mary in November, but not because she called us. She was interested in a bridal gown from a designer we carry and posted about it in a Facebook group for brides to be. Our consultant, Erica, saw it and reached out to Mary.

Next thing you know, Mary is in our shop trying on gowns and fell in love! From that moment on, we have walked side by side with Mary to ensure her gown is everything she hoped for and more!

Pick up day is always bittersweet because we develop genuine relationships with our brides. We share in their excitement and we sympathize with their challenges. Selfishly, we never want this chapter to end but we also cannot wait to hear about the wedding and see the photos after!

Allow us to introduce you to Megan. She came to see us last winter with her family and booked a private Sunday appointment.

During her appointment we learned some amazing things:

1- her mom found her own wedding gown with us
2- Megan flew from Florida to shop with us
3- Megan is an Olympian as well as a health and fitness coach!

Megan really wanted a dress that really showed off her assets and WOW did she do that! Her gown was amazing to start, then Yupa really elevated it in alterations by opening up the back of the gown and plunging the neckline. She also put in underarm vents so Megan would have smooth fabric in contact with her arms instead of beading that could scratch her.

One of our brides asked if we knew of any way she could have ties (and pocket squares) made to match her bridesmaid gowns for the groomsmen to wear.

We asked our seamstress Yupa about it and she immediately said she could do it.

So when the bridesmaids gowns were ordered, we also ordered additional yardage of the material for Yupa and when everything arrived she got right to work.

They were presented to the bride this week and she couldn’t be happier!
