🩷 A Little Western Grace After Dark! 🤠

Last night, we got home from celebrating a friend's birthday, and before I ever made it into the house, I stopped to spend a little time with Sadie.

There we were, standing under the security light, and I thought, why not take a picture?

I still had on my cowboy hat, my Western Grace jewelry, and everything from the evening. Sadie didn't care what I was wearing. She was just happy to have a little attention, and I was happy to give it to her.

You know, I spend so much time running from one thing to another. Between teaching school, taking care of the ranch, and traveling with Western Grace, it seems like there's always somewhere to be or something that needs doing.

But these quiet little moments at home? I wouldn't trade them for anything.

And I think that's part of what makes this life so precious to me. I get to do so many things I love, but at the end of the day, coming home to these horses is still one of my greatest blessings. ❤️

Of course, a little Western Grace sparkle never hurts, even if the only one around to admire it is Sadie! 😂🩵

**Now tell me, horse ladies!** Am I the only one who can come home all dressed up and still end up out at the barn before calling it a night?

**The Voice I Still Hear**

📖 Proverbs 1:8-9

October has a way of bringing Momma a little closer to my heart.

Her birthday is coming up, and although I can't pick up the phone and hear her voice anymore, I find myself remembering the things she used to say.

Isn't it amazing how a mother's words can stay with you long after she's gone?

Sometimes it's a little piece of advice. Sometimes it's a reminder to have faith. And sometimes it's something you didn't particularly want to hear when you were younger, but now you realize just how right she was!

Momma wasn't just raising a daughter. She was planting lessons that would continue growing long after her work here on earth was finished.

📖 “My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother.” — Proverbs 1:8

I think about how many times I've faced something in life and wished I could ask Momma what she thought.

Then I realize that so often, I already know what she would tell me.

Because she spent a lifetime teaching me.

And perhaps one of the greatest blessings of having a mother who loved the Lord is knowing that even when you can no longer hear her voice, the wisdom she shared still speaks.

🤎 Inspired by Nancy... her story didn't end. It lives on in the faith she shared, the prayers she prayed, and the lives she continues to touch.

We had such a great time at the Union Horse Expo this year, and seeing a little piece of Western Grace featured in their advertisement for next year absolutely made our day.
From setting up that first piece of jewelry to seeing our booth representing the vendor side of a horse expo… this little business just keeps giving us moments to be thankful for.
