I’m currently starting to prep for Christmas in July and while I acknowledge that it’s the end of May and it’s not hat season, let me tell you: these hats are 🔥! If you are new, Christmas in July is my largest sale of the year and my own unofficial kick off of the Meggles Knits season. It’s the perfect time to take advantage of high inventory levels (you will not believe how many pieces I currently have in stock!!) and a discount to prepare for the fall temperatures or holiday shopping. I have big goals for 2026 and I hope you will be here to follow along while I chase my dreams.

It’s Tip Tuesday: get yourself organized! My goal for 2026 is to work smarter, NOT harder. Today I took 10 minutes to gather up all the pieces I need when I’m finishing off pieces: needles and a crochet hook to weave in ends, my tags and screws for attaching them to adult hats and my sew on tags for kids hats, and buttons for attaching my faux fur Pom Poms. Now with the help of this super cute little caddy my husband printed for me everything is in one place and ready to go!

My daughter gave me this dumpster fire sticker last week because she saw it and it mad her think of me. And I laughed harder than I had in days, maybe even weeks. It was the perfect reminder that even on the hardest of hard days I’m still lucky enough to have people who love me. After my husband requested a new hat last fall I decided to knit myself a coordinating one. No we are not that couple that likes to match, I am just raising three VERY sarcastic children who thought it would be HILARIOUS for me to surprise my husband out in public with said matching hats (Spoiler alert: they were right it was hilarious).
