ABOUT MY BELIEF…
I am “Eclectic” in what I believe, as my parents both had their own beliefs in the spirits; Mother believed the native ways, and my Father was raised Penticostal.
I do not belong to any spiritual oganizations or churches. I do not lable myself as anything other than a Spiritual Being temporally in a Human Body. I am open to the beliefs of others and have studied many cultural beliefs and practices.
I came to believe in what made me feel the most comforted. I believe in all good powers that be. I believe we have more than one lifetime, and that we all become enlightened in our own time.
I believe that there is only death of the body, that our spirits transcend and go back home to where they came from; either to stay or possibly be reincarnated on Earth or even in another Solar System. I believe there is life in other Solar Systems, that are so many light years away, that mankind will perish on this planet before they could ever discover a minute ( minoot ) portion of the universe in comparison to it’s vastness.
My Spiritual Practice; In my burning pot, I burn white sage and tree resin incense blends that I make, along with fallen twigs from fruit trees. As the incense is burning I fan the smoke with feathers, and recite native prayers and request blessings from the spiritual ancestors and all good powers that be. The smoke carries the prayer and blessing requests to the ancestors. This practice comforts me and makes me feel close to my mother. My mother was part Lakota Indian and her Ancestors worshiped this way, sending prayer requests in the smoke on the feather.
I believe in healing with natural plants, spices, herbs, barks & roots, acu-pressure yoga, meditation, imagining, sound, water, aroma of herbs that heighten the senses, power of thought, mind over matter, spiritual blessings & healing from the spirits, love, comforting, nurturing. I could go on but you get the idea.
I also want to say that the modern day belief of the pentagram / pentacles that I sell are not satanic, and in my belief and multitudes of others, the the 5 points of the star represent; earth, air, fire, water and spirit being the top point of the star.
People have said to me; Oh, youre a Tree Hugger, a Horticulturalist, a Naturalist, a Pagan, a Witch, a Hippie, a Buddhist, ETC; but what they say the most to me is; “you’re a good person” and that makes me happy!
I’m just a Spirit Being in Human Body for now, just trying to get through life on this Earth as peacefully as I can; trying to stay kind and have empathy and kindness toward others. I’m far from perfect and have my struggles, but I try everyday to be a good person, and that should be our #1 practice! 💞
