Welcome to Sew What's New, a custom sewing and fashion design store with over 30 years of experience in making clothing and providing alteration services. I'm Peggy Withrow, the proprietor of this locally owned business, and I believe in providing my customers with excellent service and quality finished items to wear or display. Bring in a picture of a jacket, suit, pants, or wedding dress, and I

can create a custom pattern to match your design and sew the garment. My clothing service includes everyday wear, children's outfits, wedding and evening gowns, special occasion and costumes. If I make the clothes or costumes from scratch, they start from $15.00 on up. If I pay for the fabric, it would be the cost of the fabric and labor. (I supply the thread, zippers, buttons, elastic and other notions. Beading will be added on the bill with fabric)

Patches (Military, Boy Scout, etc) $4.00 ea
Replacing zippers on pants, dresses, & skirts $10.00 ea*
Replacing Jacket zippers $15.00 ea*
Hem Pants (Plain hem, jeans) $10.00 ea
Hem Pants (with cuff, and line pants) $11.00 ea
Hem Plain Skirts or Plain Dresses $10.00 ea
Hem Formal Dress (Bridesmaid, Wedding dresses, etc) $20.00 on up
Taking in sides of all dresses, pants & suits $10.00 on up
Repairing small seams $5.00ea

*I supply the zippers and the cost is the same even if you buy the zipper.

I do have a update. My business is still not open. I broke my left leg two months ago. I am waiting to see the doctor to find out when I can put wait on it. Sorry

I have an update. I will be having surgery soon. What I have is a incarcerated hernia. This leads to a Strangulation hernia. I will be not sewing for a while. When I am back on my feet and able to climb stairs and be able to lift things more than 10 lbs. Then I will come back on with an update.

I want to thank everyone who I have done work for. I have been sewing over 50 years and I have been running my business for over 15 years. I just turned 71 yesterday, and I have slowed down in my sewing. I have cut out last minute sewing like for customers (next day up to 3 weeks). Right now, I may be having surgery in the next month. It is all what the doctor may say needs to be done. I will be alright it is in God's hands. I have had a great run with this business and my customers were great. I will keep all of you inform of the outcome of my business, but right now I am not taking any more new customers. Next two weeks I will be finishing my customers that I have right now. Hopefully I will find out soon from the doctor how long it will be. Thank you all for having a great time meeting all of you.

Well, it is March now and I think I need to up some more things I have done. I have been working on wedding gowns, ball gowns, pageant gowns, up coming prom gowns and belly bands for dogs. I am adding a new line, These are little purses and I have been doing them for little girls birthday parties. These are things that they can keep using even after the party. The sizes are about 8 inch by 10 inch with at least one or two pockets.

Well this year is coming to an end, but it was a good year. I know I didn't post everything I did, that is how busy I was. I thank all my customers this year, they were the greatest. I am taking the last week of the year off from sewing. So I can start the new year fresh and ready. I did some crafts before the end of the year and here they are. I hope everybody have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I have been very busy since the new year. Once all the proms, balls, wedding and pageants have slowed down. Which that will be after May, I will post some of my project that I have made. I did not make any prom dresses this year, but I have done some gowns for some very special days. It is only a few more months and I will show them. See you all soon, back to work .:)

I know most of you are wondering what has been happening. Well this year has been a banner year for me. I have been busy doing ROTC uniforms, weddings, pageants and my regular customers. The holidays are coming up and I ask my customers do not wait for the last minute for your things to be fix. If you want something made I have a year waiting time. I am really sorry for this. So if you are planning on wearing in a year from now we can get it started. January, February, April and May will be busy on balls, reenactments, weddings and of course proms. I will be taking the week after Christmas, so if need some work done it will be done after that week. If you call me during the week I am off, please just leave a message. I do listen to them and will try to give you a call back. I usually make one prom dress a year, but since last January I will not have time to squeeze one in for this coming prom time. So to all my customers you have a safe Holidays coming up.

just got a text from my greatest friends to say goodbye. They will be surely missed them all. These are the pictures I took about the last two weeks. There were a lot more employees working there. The people who worked there were the greatest and they were all helpful. I enjoyed coming in and giving them a hard time. They would give it back, like I do not have enough stuff in my cart, or that is it a zipper. Miss all of you.

I also did a Clemson and Carolina pantha scarfs, which my lcat Stitches is wearing. Also made Flamingo rain gear. This is not everything. I also have been doing alterations. I am entering Proms, Balls and Weddings and it is filling fast, so you may not hear me for a while.
