Your lymphatic system needs movement — not just a massage. 💧
Lymphatic drainage massage is an amazing way to help encourage the movement of lymphatic fluid, especially when you’re feeling puffy, swollen, or holding onto extra fluid.
But here’s something I always want my clients to understand: taking care of your lymphatic system shouldn’t only happen on the massage table.
Unlike your circulatory system, your lymphatic system doesn’t have a heart pumping fluid around your body. It relies heavily on muscle movement and breathing to help lymph travel through its vessels.
That means everyday movement matters. 🙌
Walking, light jogging, jumping rope, rebounding on a trampoline, using a vibration plate, stretching, deep breathing, and simply staying active can all help support normal lymphatic flow.
Massage is one tool we can use to support your lymphatic system—but what you do between appointments matters too.
The goal isn’t just to get lymphatic drainage once in a while. It’s to create habits that keep your body moving and support its natural process of carrying excess fluid, cellular waste, and other materials back into circulation for processing and elimination. 💧🌿
Move your body. Breathe deeply. Stay hydrated. Support your lymphatic system every day.
